I hope the person who pulled the trigger is still in one piece. The original story claimed that the explosion caused only a gash in the forehead. It's one heck of a way to treat a 629.

My little dog stopped eating since yesterday. Last night he vomited or peed (I didn't see how it came out) red color sticky liquid. I could tell that it was not bright blood and not cluster of blood. I gave him a few sips of water through a syringe. This morning he peed the same liquid outside, but it changed color after a while and became clear (or dissipated on the cement floor). Last night we cleaned up right away and probably didn't see the color change.

I know I should bring him to a vet, but what if he would wind up dead anyway. I'd rather let him die in peace at home. Any suggestions?

Well, I thought I knew something about medical insurance, but recent events have proved me wrong. My 74 year old aunt had to have surgery to repair some discs in her neck. Long story short is she has had complications.

She has had "good" independent medical insurance for many many years, but is also on Medicare. As it turns out, Medicare drives the length of stay and the level of care she receives while her "good" insurance pays part of the remainder of the bill above Medicare. I guess my problem is, where the HE77 is her "good" insurance that would allow her to stay in the hospital receiving the critical care she needs vs. being moved from place to place after X days due to Medicare rules. :hairout: There have been issues with some of the places she has been placed at.

Is it required for one to be on Medicare after X age rather than remain on her "good" independent insurance?

We are monitoring EVERYTHING that is being done to her and someone is with her all the time, just to insure that her level of care is sufficient. I am not asking for a private suite or anything like that, just proper medical care at facilities that can give that.

Any suggestions as my mother, her sister, is not getting younger and I want to insure that she, as well as my aunt, have proper medical care. Obviously, it sux to get old.

Sorry for the rant.

I finally went to Harbor Freight and got me the ALUMINUM cargo carrier, after a few blisters and 2 beers I got it completely assembled, on Sunday I took it to Surfside, holding a 120 qt cooler full of ice a refreshments a cpl of chairs and a few of my rods (on rod holders clamped with U bolts) it held beautiful, love that it is so light, and can hold up to 500 lbs.

However, here is what I want to do (but wouldn't know how or where to start), I would love to put some sort of wheels (removable as to when I go to the beach I can cart all my stuff on and off the truck (8 in swivel casters/air filled tires would be my preference), but the top of the caster is FLAT with 4 holes, the cross bars that the basket has are about 1 inch around (square), where can I get pieces of Aluminum cut, bent and drilled at????? or if any of you guru's can tell me what to do? I do not want to put an axle, just put some wheels for when I go fishing to the jetties or where I cannot put my car/truck to close to the water :work:

The company I work for let our field office adminstrator go back in March of this year and believe it or not, now they have 10 people doing what she used to do. No, the number 10 is not a missprint. The catch is those 10 people do the job for the whole country instead of her just doing it for our district here in Texas.
That being said. I just had a conversation with her this morning and she is still looking for a job. Sarah had been with us for close to 8 years and after 23 years with the same company and seeing a lot of FOAs come and go, she was absolutely the best. I never thought to ask her how old she is because I figured she was close to my age(47), plus, it ain't polite to ask a lady the age question. Turns out she's 62 and she's starting to feel that people are looking past her because of her age.
She is as capable and many people half her age and can run an office like no one I have ever seen. Her customer skills, both internal and external are second to none.
I reckon the point of this is to say, if you are in the market to hire someone, please don't overlook someone just because you think they may be too old. You may be passing on the one person that could help your business flourish.
And in case anyone is interested, Sarah lives in Garland, TX and would gladly give up unemployment to be back in the working world. Please contact me if you need her specific qualifications.

Delbert was sent to intensive care at Kingwood at 1:30 am this morning.
We visited yesterday at the home he is in and noticed he was "out of it"
as he would`nt eat or respond to our voices.
His mother stated that a doctor should come see him but the staff figured he was just depressed. He was making sounds like a child would so we knew
something other than depression was going on .
I talked to a doc / nurse at Kingwood at 3:30 and they were running blood tests. he called back and said he was`nt given seizure medication at the nursing home. Right now his heart rate is crazy as well as his blood sugar.
Just yesterday we were told he is not making progress in therapy and will
have to be moved to another home until they can open a bed for
permanent residency for him.
If he survives this, he will be in a nursing home for the rest of his life.
We`ve had issues with the home and now their negligence has him in
ICU. His sister is at the hospital now and we are trying to make it up there.
The nursing home told the hospital nothing, we had to inform them of his strokes, blood clot on his brain, diabetes etc.
Have to go.
